Snip, Snip

We cut Erin's hair short just in time for summer. I thought she'd miss her long hair - wrong! She loves how bouncy it is. The only thing that made her hesitate was when I told her it wouldn't be long like Hannah Montana's hair. But then she got all happy and said, "But I can still wear the wig Grandma and Grandpa gave me!" Problem solved.

I think the short hair will be nice for the summertime. And it feels much healthier now! We waited to cut it until she had 10 inches to donate to Locks of Love. That made it a little more fun than just a haircut.

Tag!

I was tagged, so here we go...
Rules of this Tag

1. Answer the questions about the list of friends and/or family on your blog.
2. If you don’t have the # of names that the question asks, answer the question about the next name that you have not had a question for on your list.
3. Tag your friends/ family.

When did you first meet the 1st person on your list? I met Amy B. in church, and we got to know each other better when our husbands were playing softball together. She's a little ball of energy!

What do you like about the third person on your list's blog? Brandi is one of my visiting teachers & it's always nice to have her over! She's upbeat & down to earth.

What do you like best about the 5th and 6th people on your list? Cheree was one of my companions on my mission. She is hilarious, and she made working hard lots of fun. Jamie is a creative genius and she makes cute babies.

How long have you known the 8th person on your list? A few years. Kim was my other VT until they moved out of the ward. I keep hoping she'll update her blog, but...

What impresses you about the 11th and 22nd people on your list? Rebecca was also one of my companions, and she's also hilarious! She is a go-getter and has her head screwed on right. I don't have 22 people on my list, so I'll start from the top... Amy O. is super-nice! She always seems cheerful, and she's really organized and a great mom.

What is a memory you have with the 23rd person on your list? How about #4... Charlene cracks me up! I always have a good time with her, usually while feasting on taco salad!

Say something nice about the 27th person on your list. Well, I only have a few other people on my list, so let's do three of them at once. Jodi, Megan, and Monica were all some of my many roommates in college! We managed to live in a house with 10 girls and still come out of it being friends. The house, however has since been demolished. Probably because of something we did. They're all crazy and I love them! On that note, I couldn't resist putting up a picture from the scary condemned house we lived in:

Now I tag -- Jodi, Kim, Megan, Monica, Stacie and Summer.

Silly Goose

On Saturday, we found ourselves in the Garden Lakes area dropping Erin off at a birthday party. We decided to get some bread and watch the ducks! It was so nice out.

We found a family of geese, but the parents didn't want us to get too close to the babies. They sure were cute! I love it when they all walk in a line just like the "duck crossing" signs. Anyway, I learned that geese will hiss at you if you make them nervous. Robbie thought this was hilarious! And he would lean forward and hiss right back at them. So now if you ask him what a duck says, he'll hiss at you. (He thinks they're all ducks... or "guk" to be exact)

We spent a lot of time feeding one particular goose. It was a big hit with the kids! Erin got a little nervous when he got too close, but I showed her that if she stood up he would back off. So that made her more comfortable.

Unfortunately, it was also a big hit when the goose pooped.

- Erin: "Mom, he's pooping!!"

- Robbie: "Bleh!" (followed by belly laughing)
